Protecting your hotel from insects is not a trivial matter. Sometimes, they are so small that we overestimate their “power” to throw away the reputation of our hotel. Remember that insect pests must be prevented and controlled to prevent the spread of diseases, comply with legislation and avoid the loss of materials and, of course, customers. It will be very simple if you follow these 5 steps:

1. Inspect

Carefully check every room (warehouse, kitchen and bedrooms, mainly) every corner, ceiling, wall, corner, behind furniture or spaces where they can be hidden. Any trace, spot, or anomalous sign can give us a clue that insects are nearby.

1. Identify the “enemy”

Obviously, in your hospitality business, you should not act the same way to get rid of flying insects, crawlies or moths and mites. Observing and identifying is very important. Some actions that you should apply immediately after identifying the insect are:

• Seal small holes where they can slip through.
• Prevent access to food debris by cleaning properly.
• Dispose of garbage frequently.

1. Appropriate products to combat with each insect
